As I’ve had more experience photographing weddings and special moments in people’s stories, elopements have really grown on me. They’re small, intimate, and memorable. Tara and Brian’s special day was one of the sweetest days I’ve had as a photographer! They took extra care to design the day just for them, and that came across in each moment and photo. We started the day with a sunrise beach photo session before an afternoon elopement at Lantern Bay Park.
High School Sweethearts
Tara and Brian actually met in 2011, and have been together for 9 years! They were high school sweethearts, and it’s clear they bring out the best in each other. They’ve been best friends for nearly a decade, and now that they’re married they have an official best friend to journey through life with!
Sunrise Beach Session
I had the pleasure of photographing the almost married couple on their wedding day at sunrise, and it turned out to be so magical! I could sense their excitement, and they just seemed so radiant. They’re a very earthy, beachy couple, so I think this session also really highlighted the true essence of their relationship while also letting them have some special time together on the day of their elopement!
The Elopement
The elopement at Lantern Bay Park was short, sweet, and memorable. The florals at their makeshift altar were absolutely stunning, and the weather couldn’t have been more lovely!
One of the most special pieces of their day is that Tara’s mom actually married them! How beautiful is that?
